Please join us Thursday, October 10 at 7:00 pm to hear Deena Nyer Mendlowitz share her story of using comedy to cope with mental illness. Deena hosts “Mental Illness & Friends”, a monthly live comedy talk show that mixes storytelling, improv, stand-up and music. She created this monthly live comedy talk show to talk about her experiences with mental health and also invites comedians, songwriters and artists to share something about their creativity and also the impact mental illness has had on their own life. Deena will talk about using comedy as an outlet for her depression and suicidal ideation. No charge (donations accepted), open to the public.
